PILLAR IN THE TEMPLE
Revelation 3:11-13 ” I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
The Scene: a pillar in the temple of heaven–
- 1) pillar cap–a crown; the crown of life (James 1:12)
- 2) grapevine– wrapped around the pillar; Jesus the Christ James 15:1)
- 3) vine branches– attached to the vine; overcomers, believers (John 15:5)
- 4) base foundation– a firm foundation; Jesus the Christ, (Isaiah 25:16), and His Word, (Matthew 7:24).
Jesus assures us by His Word that overcomers, true believers, will, indeed one day join Him at His throne in heaven.
Revelation 3:21 “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.”
